Getting Started

1. Sign in with your Apple ID
2. Connect Notion — authorize Brain 2 to access your databases
3. Create a button — give it a name, pick a database, configure field mapping
4. Capture! — Hold a button on the Voice tab to record, or tap on the Text tab to type

How Voice Capture Works

On the Voice tab, hold any button to start recording immediately. Release to send. Your voice is transcribed by AI, parsed into structured data, and sent to your Notion database with the correct properties filled in.

How Text Capture Works

On the Text tab, tap any button to open a text input. Type your capture and tap Send. The AI processes your text the same way it handles voice — extracting titles, categories, dates, and more.

Field Mapping

Each button has a field mapping that controls how Notion properties are filled:

• From transcript: AI decides the value based on what you said
• Fixed: Always set to a specific value (e.g., Status: Inbox)
• Skip: Leave the field empty

Long-Form Captures

For longer recordings (50+ words), Brain 2 automatically creates a Notion page with a title AND a formatted body with paragraphs, bullet points, and headings.

Special Words

Add names, company names, or jargon to Settings → Special Words to improve transcription accuracy. The AI learns these words and spells them correctly.

AI Enhancement

Each button can have an AI template that formats longer captures:

• Bullet Points: Condenses into clean bullets
• Summary + Action Items: Extracts summary and next steps
• Clarify Thinking: Rewrites rambling into clear text
• Meeting Notes: Formats as decisions, actions, follow-ups

FAQ

My capture didn't appear in Notion?

Check: (1) Is your Notion connection active in Settings? (2) Did the button's database get shared with Brain 2 during OAuth? (3) Check the History tab for error details.

The transcription is wrong?

Add frequently misspelled words to Settings → Special Words. Speak clearly and avoid very short recordings (under 2 seconds).

How do I change which Notion database a button uses?

Go to Settings → tap the button → you can change all settings including the target database.
